Institute of Energy The question of the energy supply needed by companies is one of the most important concerns of the past and the present century in the countries of the world that are tending to grow crisis. The progress and development of countries, the provision of comfort and safety to human societies are subordinated to the supply of lasting energy. In the current century, called the Century of Clean Energy, man is facing two great crises whose origins refer to energy. One is the environmental pollution resulting from the consumption of fossil fuels and the other is the worrying reduction of fossil energy resources. These crises are not allocated to a specific geographic region and all countries are affected. In a line with helping to solve these crises, in consideration of the regional potential of renewable energies and the necessity of further productivity of fossil energy resources, to provide adequate facilities to carry out energy research projects and finally, to train experts and efficient armed forces, the Institute for Energy has started its activities since 2004. In September 2005, this Institute has managed to obtain a principle agreement from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology with three research departments, namely Energy Management and Optimization, Renewable Energies and Energy Conversion, and Fuel Cells and Hydrogen.
