Institute of Materials

This Institute received its principle agreement from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in 2001 and was founded within the framework of three research departments "Metals, Ceramics, and New Materials" aiming at providing facilities to do research projects and to train experts and efficient forces to establish academic links with other research centers in line with the constitution of the institute.

 Objectives:

To provide necessary facilities and a suitable environment to do research projects on metallurgy, ceramics, new materials, materials processing, and creating new and advanced technology on mentioned grounds

-        To establish mutual scientific and technical links with industries aiming at creating research projects related to the problems of industries and meeting their needs

-        To create, transfer and, promote technical knowledge through holding scientific and specialized seminars and conferences at national and international levels

-        To help with solving the problems of steel industries by presenting or cooperating in employing new methods in the production of steel as one of the most important industrial metals about the potential of efficient human force and modern equipment

-        To establish links with research, service, and educational centers to identify the research potential to produce new materials and the application of these materials to meet the needs and overcome the problems
