Department of polymer engineering

The Polymer Engineering department was founded in 2019 at Graduate University of Advanced Technology (Kerman) in response to the rapid development of the petroleum industry and the polymer industry. The department has a young and dynamic academic staff that is actively engaged in teaching, research, and service activities, and thus is expected to play a large role in the future of the field of polymer science and engineering. The main goal of the department is planned to train engineers at postgraduate levels (M.Sc. and Ph.D.) at several aspects of the polymer engineering which are subdivided into majors of Processing and Molecular Tailoring.

Proud as we are of the accomplishments of our graduate students while they are here with us, we are even more proud of what they accomplish after graduation.

Area of interest at the Department:

  • Synthesis, Modification and Characterization of Polymers Having Different Applications
  • Polymeric Composites and Nanocomposites
  • Controlled Polymerization
  • Organic Polymer Solar Cells and OLED
  • polymeric Coatings
  • Polymer Processing
  • Process Equipment Design and Simulation
  • Elastomeric Materials
  • Polymeric Scaffolds
