This institute aims to conduct fundamental, applied, and developmental studies and researches in the following areas:
- using alternative, renewable, and economical energy resources
- decreasing the environmental contaminants caused by inappropriate energy consumptions
- managing and optimizing the energy consumption regarding limitation on fossil energy resources
- decreasing the dependency on oil resources and increasing the efficiency in using this energy resource
- training and educating the specialists and researchers in energy within research-based M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs
